Membership is critical to our existence and influence. By becoming a
member you are joining voices for the protection of natural resources and
promotion of recreation.
Membership/Donation form is used
for all memberships (individual, joint, family, partners) as well as
donations. Membership dues and donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income
tax purposes under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
PARTNERS - For groups of 3 or more we invite you to join as a partner organization. The
role of the Arkansas River Coalition (ARC) is to be an umbrella of support to
these Partners in order to provide sustenance and guidance in fostering
protection, restoration and enhancement to the Arkansas River and all
tributaries in the watershed. A Partner can choose any name it wishes for its
group, but should not be called a coalition since as a Partner it is under the
umbrella of the ARC, a non profit corporation in the state of Kansas.
 | A Partner may choose its own officers if it so desires, or merely have a
leader. |
 | This arrangement infers no legal obligation on the part of the ARC or the
Partner. |
 | A Partner shall be encouraged, but not required, to have representation on
the ARC board. |
 | Each Partner who is a member in good standing shall have one vote to cast
on each vote taken at an ARC meeting of the membership called in accordance
with the bylaws. A member in good standing is one whose payment of annual
dues is current. |
 | A representative of a Partner group is eligible to hold office in ARC. |
 | ARC will provide Partners with up to ten (10) newsletters each time
printed. |
 | ARC will provide newsletter advertising for a Partner's sanctioned events
that are in keeping with the mission statement, space permitting, and upon
the discretion of the editor. |
 | ARC will assist in promoting floats in the Partner's area by providing
expertise and other assistance as can be agreed upon by both parties, ARC
Board of Directors and Partner. |
 | Joint events, activities, transactions and business are allowed, as long
as the rules of engagement and obligation are written down and agreed upon
in advance by persons in authority from the Partner and ARC. |
